Shirley Radler, left, organizer of the Carbon County CROP Hunger Walk, presents a check of $1,023.28 to Carolyn Long, coordinator of the Trinity Food Pantry. The walk was held in October with 75 percent of the funds raised going to world hunger through Church World Services relief and development programs and 25 percent donated to local hunger at the Trinity Food Pantry. Taking part in the walk were members of the following churches: Trinity Lutheran Church, Zion UCC, All Saints Episcopal, Ss. Peter and Paul Church, First Presbyterian, all of Lehighton; St. Matthews, Franklin Township; Dinkey Memorial and Ben Salem, both of East Penn Township; St. John's Church, Mahoning Township; Jacob's UCC, Weissport; Grace/Zion Lutheran, Packerton; and Jordan UCC, Allentown.
