A Nesquehoning man has been charged with simple assault and harassment incident to a domestic dispute.

Borough police said on Salurday, March 26, about 11:46 p.m. Officers Brian White and Dane O'Brien were dispatched to 223 W. Catawissa St., for a reported domestic dispute.Upon arrival officers were met by Blaine Z. Smith, 30, of that address, who said he and his wife, Jennifer Smith, were having an argument.White spoke with Jennifer Smith who told him she and her husband were having an arugment during which he became abusive. She complained that her left ring finger was injured when her husband grabbed her by the hand and twisted it and threw her to the ground.She also said he threw her over a recliner chair in the home. She attempted to leave to go to a relative's home but Blaine Smith disconnected the battery on her car.Jennifer Smith later left the home with the relative. Blaine Smith was placed under arrest and charged, police said.
