Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions Club members receive awards

Members of the Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions Club welcomed two Lions dignitaries to their Feb. 21 meeting.

During the meeting, District 14U Past District Governor Robert Neumoyer presented Lion Duane Hawk with the Lions Club International President's Excellence Award for an outstanding 2009-2010 as club president. It was Hawk's second term as club president. He currently serves as the club's tail twister.Also during the meeting, District 14U Region Chairperson Lizanne McElwee presented Lion Larry Engle with a pin from Lions Clubs International in recognition of bringing five new members into the club. Engle serves as the membership chairman for the club.Neumoyer and McElwee jointly presented a new four-step program, called The Excellence Process, to club members.There are currently 57 members in the Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions Club, which is well-known for its fundraising and charitable contributions.Anyone interested in learning more about the club's activities or meetings can contact President Jean Smith at (610) 760-2839.
