George Krell of Tamaqua is named to the Associated Press All-State Second Team while three other area players receive Honorable Mention selections. Krell, a 6-1 senior, finishes his season with 579 points for an average of 26.3 points per game. Others to make honorable mention include Lehighton's Mickey Miller, Jim Thorpe's Bob Brown, and Weatherly's Pat Searfoss.
