A Northampton County man was sentenced to a county prison term Thursday for drug dealing while five others entered guilty pleas before Carbon County Senior Judge Richard W. Webb.

Sold to CIRobert Hawk, 53, of Bath, was sentenced to serve a total of nine to 18 months on charges of delivery of a controlled subsance and possession. Hawk, who previously pleaded guilty to the charges, was arrested by agents of the state Attorney General's office and the county drug task force for selling marijuana to a confidential informant (CI). According to the police report sales occurred in Albrightsville and Mahoning Township.Webb sentenced him to prison term on the delivery charge and six to 12 months on the possession count, wtih the terms running concurrently.Hawk was also ordered to get both a drug and alcohol (D&A) and mental health eavluations and follow any recommendations for treatment, supply a DNA sample and pay the $250, zero tolerance on D&A use, and he was made eligible for the work release program. He was given credit for 73 days spent in jail on the charges.Guilty pleasThe following defendants in pending criminal cases entered guilty pleas before Webb.Jake Buskirk, 21, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of theft by unlawful taking. He was arrested on Dec. 31, 2008, for an incident involving a check cashing.Webb placed him on probation for two years and ordered he make restitution of $4,200, supply a DNA sample and pay the $250 fee and render three hours of community service per month while on probation.James Lawrence Dennis, 25, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to two counts of receiving stolen property. He was arrested on June 25 by Franklin Township police for an incident in which jewelry was stolen from the residence of Marlene Stern.Webb deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probation office to prepare a pressentence investigation (PSI) report.Brian Kralik, 56, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of driving under the influence (DUI). He was arrested on Aug. 12, 2010, along Edgemont Ave., in Palmerton. Given a test, the result was .19BAC.Webb deferred sentencing so Kralik could apply for placement in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP).Caitlin Alice Peters, 19, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of criminal mischief-damage to property. She was arrested on Aug. 21, 2010, by Palemrton police. She was involved in an incident with her ex-boyfriend, Kyle Silliman, where police said she attempted to strike him with a vehicle.Webb placed her on probation for a year and ordered she to make restitution of $574.31 to Silliman.Keith Allen Washeim, 36, of Tamaqua, pleaded to one count of DUI. He was arrested on March 7, 2010, along SR248 in Parryville by state police. Given a test, the result was .20BAC.Webb sentenced him to serve 30 days to six months in the county prison, pay a fine of $300, license suspended for a year, and get a D&A evaluation.He will serve the jail time on consecutive weekends beginning Jan. 21, at 7 p .m.All defendants must also pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee.
