Tamaqua Police are investigating a rather unusual theft reported to the department on Thursday.

Brad Orach, 40, of 454 Arlington St., Tamaqua, called the station to report the theft of his garbage. Orach explained he had placed three small individual bags of trash in a can, then placed the can curbside Wednesday night for Thursday pick up. On Thursday morning, at 6:45 a.m., before the trash collector came, the bags were gone.Anyone with information may contact police at 668-6100.
