A McAdoo woman, who refused to stop when directed to do so by Rush Township fire police, has been cited.

Police say Patricia A. Headley was traveling on East Main Street at 10:20 p.m. on April 17 where fire police had shutdown the road due to downed power lines. She was stopped a short distance later and police were contacted.

Headley was found to be in a highly intoxicated state. Blood tests indicate a .14 percent blood/alcohol content, almost twice the legal limit of .08.

She was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, as well as numerous traffic violations.
