Jim Thorpe police are investigating two burglaries that occurred recently.
On Saturday, May 8, officers were called to the Asa Packer Mansion where a storage building was found entered.
The incident occurred sometime between May 1 and the discovery date. Nothing appeared to have been taken.
The second break-in occurred in the 100 block of W. Broadway. Sometime between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, a residence was entered and medication was taken.

Perhaps if the executive director of the Asa Packer Mansion would take more of an interest in the proper preservation and safeguarding of the home & its grounds rather than using it as a photo-op every time he decides to chip away at the home's true authenticity & bring the home to ruin, things like this wouldn't continue to happen.
