A Schuylkill County man committed suicide at the residence of his former girlfriend after he attempted to break into the home.

State police at Frackville said the incident occurred at a home along Arnot Street in the village of Arnot's Addition, in New Castler Township, which is across SR61 from the borough of St. Clair.Troopers said about 6 a.m. on Monday Dwayne Engle, 32, of Pine Grove, went to the residence where he previously had a relationship with a woman and struggled with the woman and another male, who were in the home.Engle then left the residence momentarily and subsequently forcibly re-entered the home and then committed suicide.Responding to the scene were police from St. Clair, Minersville, Palo Alto and Pottsville. Also on scene was the county's coroner's office and the Records and Identification Unit of Troop L, Reading.
