A Monroe County man is facing multiple sexual assault related counts involving a young girl as the alleged victim.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Charles Margretta, 25, of Locust Lake village, in Tobyhanna Township, was arrested on a warrant on Jan. 14 and arraigned before District Judge Richard Claypool. He is charged with deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors, sexual abuse of children and unlawful contact with a minor. He was committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of $10,000 bail.According to police on Jan. 7 officers executed a search warrant at Margretta's residence incident to an ongoing narcotics investigation. Police seized a cellular phone in the search. During the processing of the phone police observed several sexually explicit/nude photographs of a young female.Police were able to identify the child as a 15-year-old. Police said they were able to determine through an investigation that Margretta had sexual contact with the girl in the photographs during a period of May 22, 2009, to Jan. 7.
