On Aug. 16 at 11:09 p.m. Pocono Mountain Regional olice were on patrol of SR196 and conducted a traffic stop for violations of the vehicle code.

Officers identified the operator as Gloria Rabinowitz, 51, and the passenger as Eamon Tierney, 45, both of Rego Park, N.Y. While officers were speaking with the occupants a strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected.Further investigation revealed the couple to be in possession of two marijuana cigarettes, rolling papers, a marijuana grinder and one multicolored glass pipe containing marijuana residue. Rabinowitz and Tierney were cited for druf offenses and released.
