It was a Meet and Greet of the Greyhound kind. Twelve-year-old Annallyssa Drew of Mahanoy stops to pet Zar, a nine-year-old black and white Greyhound. Five dogs and their owners from the Pocono Greyhound Adoption were stationed near the side entrance of The Service Team, which is located outside of Palmerton. The members of the organization were there to help educate the public about rescue Greyhounds that are up for adoption. Zar, who is owned by Elaine Thompson of Lehighton, is not up for adoption but three of the five dogs present for the event were available. The club is directed by Craig Shide of Canadensis PA.
