A Tamaqua area man has been cited following an incident at the Fegley Mini Mart, 30-32 Center St., Tamaqua, on Oct. 14.

Police officers were dispatched to the mini mart at 11:05 p.m. for a reported retail theft in progress. At the scene officers observed the store clerk and an off duty West Penn Township patrolman wrestling on the floor with a male suspect.The suspect was handcuffed but continued to cause a commotion. He refused to provide officers with his name.The male was transported to the Frackville barracks of the state police where he was live scanned and identified as Paul D. Campbell, 56, of 122 Mountain Rd., Tamaqua R.D.Campbell was charged with resisting arrest, retail theft, two counts of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
