November 7, 1952 Bill Hood runs for 113 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries and Tamaqua cruises to a 26-6 victory over Pottsville. Both of Hood's scores come in the fourth quarter to seal the win. The Raider back hits paydirt from 17 yards out and then later breaks loose for a 73-yard TD run. Duane Whetstone also aids in the win by throwing a five-yard TD pass to John Dalcin and scoring on a 47-yard interception return.
