New Lions inducted

At the recent meeting of the Western Pocono Lions Club, with special guest Lions District 14U District Governor Bob Neumoyer in attendance, three new Lions were inducted into the club. Joining club president Helen Koshensky, front left, are Immediate Past District Governor Bob Argot, and Curt Bush; back, from left, Vice District Governor Bob Kelsey; Ken Lurson, Rep. Mike Carroll, Paul McLaine, and District Governor Bob Neumoyer. New members are Ken Lurson, Rep. Mike Carroll and Paul McLaine. At that meeting club president Helen Koshensky presented a check for $408.87 to the club treasurer, Matt Held, the result of a generous community during White Cane Days. The monies realized will be given to organizations that help those with sight difficulties or do prevention programs. DG Neumoyer lauded the club for its many activities that benefit the community and shared information about a new District program: Lions Helping Feed the Hungry. The three District 14U regions are each developing plans for implementing that new community outreach program.
