Submitting an obituary with the TIMES NEWS
New for 2016
Charges for obituaries are now a flat $60 for the first 25 lines, plus $2.00 per line up to 39 lines. For obituaries 40 lines or longer, the cost is $90 for 40 lines, plus $2.25 per line thereafter. If a photo is included with the obituary, the photo is included in the line count.
Death notice insertions, which include all funeral service information are $18.35 for a one-time run; $23.75 for a two-day run; $30.05 for a three-day run; $35.65 for a four-day run; and $42.45 for a five-day run.
To submit an obituary, funeral service information, and/or photo to be included with the obituary, contact the obituary department before 9:30 a.m., for same day insertion. Deadline for submissions for Monday through Friday editions is 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., Fridays, for Saturday's edition.
For funeral directors who have not worked with the Times News before, please include your billing information, including a contact phone number so a representative can contact you in case of questions.
For family members wishing to put a loved one?s obit in the Times News, please include your name, address and a contact phone number so a representative can contact you in case of questions. Family-submitted obituaries must be paid for in advance.
