Organizers of the Alzheimer's Family Fun Festival & Walk to End Alzheimer's have extended the date for inclusion on the Alzheimer's Wall of Memories until Sept. 4.

The Wall of Memories is a banner that shows the faces of local people who have or have had Alzheimer's disease. The banner acts as a tool to create awareness of the prevalence of the disease and the need for funding to help find a way to prevent, cure or slow the progression of this devastating disease.

The updated Wall of Memories will be unveiled at the Alzheimer's Family Fun Festival & Walk to End Alzheimer's, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5 at Mauch Chunk Lake Park, Jim Thorpe.
