A Schuylkill County man was jailed following an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, March 24.

State police at Frackville said Robert Chuplis, 34, of Giriardville, entered the residence of Sadie Hart, 33, of 354 W. Main St., Girardville, about 4 a.m. through a locked rear door. Once inside Chuplis caused a disturbance while gaterhing several items to remove.Chuplis was secured in a room in the home until troopers arrived. He was taken into custody. He was learned that Chuplis was on probation at the time and the county probation office was contacted. The probation office said he was in violation and he was transported to the county prison and committed for the probation violation.Troopers charged him with defiant trepass, loitering and prowling at night, harassment, and criminal mischief for the initital incident.
