David allowed eight hits, one earned run and two walks while striking out five.
AJ Wenrich had a double and RBI for the Shockers, who also received a hit, two walks and three runs scored from Anthony Rossino.
For the Yankees, Cody Peters and Nick Frey both collected two hits.
