Panther Valley makes personnel moves

The Panther Valley school board on Thursday made a number of personnel moves.

The board:*Approved a contract with speech therapist Ashley Cory for the 2012-13 school year at a rate of $80 per hour;*Accepted the resignation for retirement of elementary paraprofessional Linda Romankow, effective at the close of the 2012-13 school year. Romankow served for 31 years.*Accepted the resignation for retirement of middle school paraprofessional Marie Halladay, effective at the close of the 2012-13 school year. Halladay served for 17 years.*Agreed to hire Cynthia Ann Levis, Lehighton, as a short-term substitute German high school teacher, effective Jan. 30, 2013, and to continue until the close of this school year. She'll be paid $135 per day.*Approved adding four people to the list of substitute teachers for this school year, at $85 per day each: Matthew Fees, secondary Social Studies; Kayla Field, K-12 business, computer and information technology; James Junas, elementary; and Brent Reabold, elementary, and middle school math.
