Teen facing charges

A Schuylkill County teen is facing charges following an incident that occurred on Saturday, July 31.

State police at Frackville said the incident occurred at EZ Pull & Save Auto Parts, located at 2401 Summer Valley Rd., in New Ringgold, East Brunswick Township.Troopers said a 17-year-old male and a yet to be identified adult male and female, paid admission and entered the auto parts property about 2 p.m. The juvenile and adult male removed a number of auto parts and then exited the yard through a hole in a fence. After exiting the yard the two ran across posted private property of George A. Beiswinger, 182 Ridge Rd., New Ringgold.Beiswinger observed the two and drove to their location. He was able to stop and detain the juvenile but the adult male returned to the auto property through the hole in the fence and went to a vehicle where he fled the area.The juvenile was taken into custody by troopers and charged with retail theft, theft by unlawful taking and criminal trespass. He was then released to the custody of his mother. The charges will be filed through the county's juvenile probation office, troopers said.Value of the parts taken was estiamted at $170. The investigation into the incident is continuing, troopers added.
