Tamaqua police are investigating numerous reports of items being stolen from vehicles.

On July 25 alone seven unlocked vehicles were entered and rummaged through by thieves looking for anything valuable. Stolen items include cash, wallets, portable televisions, vehicle manuals and GPS units.The targeted vehicles were parked in two different sections of town the North Ward and Dutch Hill.Officers remind residents to remove valuable items from their cars and to lock the vehicles' doors.Anyone with information concerning these incidents is asked to call police at (570) 668-5000.
