The Palmerton Area Historical Society will hold its regular monthly meeting on May 14, in the Knight's Gallery of the Palmerton Area Library.

Dr. Richard Stein, a resident of Schenectady, NY, will share his hobby "Mineral Meals". Dr. Stein was born in Palmerton and grew up in Aquashicola.His unique collection "Mineral Meals" features stones and minerals that resemble various foods. For example, he has lettuce (green talc), whole beets (garnets) and grapes (amethyst).This is a must see presentation. A brief business meeting starts at 7 p.m. followed by the program.
