Tree causes Lehightonpower outage

A property owner in Lehighton cutting a tree in his yard caused a widespread power outage in the town. The tree fell onto a power line, and resulted in the south side of the community, including the business district, being without electricity for about an hour. The repairs were made by the Lehighton Light and Power Department. Lonnie Armbruster, superintendent of the Light and Power Department, assesses the situation after power was restored. The incident happened at Seventh and Bridge streets.
