The new Tamaqua Community Arts Center, is offering open stage opportunities every first and third Thursday of the month.

Open stages, which are open to all ages and levels of talent, start at 6 p.m. and last until 9 p.m. Sign-up starts at 5:30 p.m. Donations will be collected after each performer.

Organizers are encouraging the community and visitors to stop by the center, 125 Pine St., and vote for their favorite performer.

At the end of the event, the performer with the most donations wins "Best of the Night" cash prize. The event is hosted by Kathy Rimm and Jack Kulp.
