The Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 School District is hosting a Virtual Town Hall Meeting on Effective Teaching on Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Maple Avenue Campus Gymnasium located near Marlin in Norwegian Township, Schuylkill County.

This meeting will be a statewide video-conference event connecting superintendents, school board members, teachers, parents, business leaders, representatives from higher education, state legislators and other concerned about public education in the Commonwealth.During the meeting, educators in schools that are piloting new teacher evaluation systems, along with Education Secretary Ron Tomalis, will lead a discussion about the impact of their efforts on teaching and student achievement.
