A large portion of the stream bank that runs between Park Avenue in the Hauto Valley Estates section of Nesquehoning and railroad tracks, owned by Reading and Northern Railroad, was swept downstream with the heavy rains that hit the area Thursday. Numerous areas experienced flooding and erosion as a result of the storm.
