August 17, 1973 Joe Tessitore belts a game-winning, walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Nesquehoning a 4-3 upset win over Tamaqua in the Panther Valley Little League tournament. Tessitore and John Staivecki both finish with a pair of hits while Bob Roman contributes a hit and run scored. Roman also gains the pitching win, allowing just six hits.
