Vehicle snaps pole, friend tows vehicle

Tuscarora Fire Company, Tamaqua Rescue, and Tamaqua Ambulance were called to Old 209 Road in Tamaqua for a vehicle accident involving a snapped pole. When they arrived, they noticed a heavily damaged blue Kia Sephia being towed with a thick chain by a large yellow truck eastbound on Old 209 Road in Schuylkill Township about one mile east of where the accident occurred. Reportedly, the driver of the truck towing the vehicle said someone asked him to tow the vehicle. Even though the driver's side door was caved in heavily from the impact, the driver of the Kia was not at either location. The names of the truck driver towing the vehicle and owner of the blue Kia were unavailable as of press time. State Police are still investigating. Pictured is the Kia that was wrapped around the snapped pole and the large yellow truck that was towing it.
