Lehighton police are seeking help from the public in identifying the driver of a hit-and-run vehicle which struck an elderly man.

According to police, the incident happened at about 7:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Fourth and Alum streets.The man, 76, who wasn't identified, sustained minor injuries. He was transported by Lehighton Ambulance to the Lehighton Campus of Blue Mountain Health System.Police said the vehicle was described as a light-colored sedan, which made a left turn onto Alum Street from the 200 block of South Fourth Street.Anyone with information is urged to contact the Lehighton Police Department at (610) 377-4003.
