Aquashicola School students hold 16th biennial reunion

Former students of the Aquashicola School attended the school's 16th biennial reunion, held at the Polk Township Fire Company in Kresgeville, on Oct. 3.

Although the meal was not set to start until 1 p.m., the hall filled early and former classmates spent an hour reminiscing. The program started with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer remembering those who have passed on, including teachers, superintendents, principals, students and a beloved bus driver.According to former student Carol (Hahn) Simcoe, the group continues to gather memorabilia pertaining to the school. This year, the Barry Farenkopf family made a presentation of the diploma of his mother, Anna Hilda Lentz, who graduated from the Aquashicola School on May 24, 1934.
