A Schuylkill County man is facing a charge of simple assault following an apparent domestic incident that occurred about 12:04 a.m. on Sunday in the borough of Girardville.

State police at Frackville said Andrew Clare Hendricks, 30, and a 38-year-old female, both of 372 W. Mahanoy Ave., were drinking when they began to argue about the female not wanting Hendricks to drive his Quad four-wheeler while drunk.The argument escalated into a physical confrontation when Hendricks threw the victim into their pool and held her head under the water to scare her. Then, while inside the residence, Hendricks grabbed the female by the throat in a choking manner and tossed her into the washer and dryer, then to the floor.
