Tamaqua Police are investigating a rather unusual theft reported to the department on Thursday.

Brad Orach, 40, of 454 Arlington St., Tamaqua, called the station to report the theft of his garbage. Orach explained he had placed three small individual bags of trash in a can, then placed the can curbside Wednesday night for Thursday pick up. On Thursday morning, at 6:45 a.m., before the trash collector came, the bags were gone.

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes investigated by troopers that occurred on Thursday, Aug. 11, along Schuylkill County roads.

A two vehicle accident occurred about 11:02 a.m. along SR209, in Port Carbon. Troopers said Kenneth H. Heisler Jr., 54, of Tamauqa, was southbound in a 2002 Ford Focus while Joseph F. Lubinsky, 68, of New Philadelphia, was northbound in a 2001 Dodge Durango.

A West Penn Township woman received slight injuries after her vehicle went off the road on Aug. 4 as she was traveling along Owl Creek Road in Tamaqua.

Michelle Walker, 38, of 81 Medical Crossing Rd., told officers she was unfamiliar with the road, which she was using to avoid construction delays in Tamaqua. She overcompensated when driving on a curve, causing her vehicle to go off the road and strike a tree in a heavily wooded section.

Walker was wearing a seat belt, which caused a slight injury to her shoulder. She refused medical treatment.

Tamaqua police have filed charges against Jaime B. Paisley, 26, of 74 Fawn Lane, Tamaqua, following a vehicle stop on Aug. 5.

Officers were on patrol at 1:50 a.m. when they observed a red Audi sedan traveling south on North Railroad Street. The passenger side rear light on the Audi was inoperative.

Tamaqua police are investigating the theft of several articles from an unlocked vehicle, which was parked on East End Avenue. The theft was reported at 3:10 p.m. on Aug. 4.

Taken in the theft were a Magellan GPS unit, rolled coins and the vehicle registration cards.

A Tamaqua man faces charges following an Aug. 5 accident along Owl Creek Road.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 155 Owl Creek Rd. at 2:24 a.m.

The caller reported a green Chevrolet Blazer had struck a utility pole then left the scene.

Witnesses said the Blazer continued on to 161 Owl Creek Rd., where the male driver parked it to the side, then entered the residence.

The officer checked and discovered a green 1996 Blazer with front end damage, consistent with an impact with the utility pole.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a recklessly endangering incident in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said about 6:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, Stanley Adams, of 373 Swopes Valley Road, in Pine Grove Township, was sitting on his front porch when a blackJeep Cherokee approached his home. As the Jeep got close to the residence it slowed down

At this point a front seat passenger, identified as a white male in his mid-20s, pointed what appeared to be a BB gun or air rifle out the window at the home and fired one shot.

A Tamaqua woman has been cited following a disturbance in the borough on Aug. 5.

Officers were dispatched 31 N. Railroad St. at 11:45 p.m. On scene they discovered Corrine Duke, 42, of 246 Brown St. Duke was told to cease and desist and go home a total of five times. Each time she refused leading the officer to take her into custody.

She was cited for disorderly conduct and released.

Slatington police reported the arrest of two individuals for underage drinking and a third arrest, in a separate incident, for disorderly conduct.

The underage drinking arrests occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 10, along at Main and Walnut sts. about 158 a.m. Police said Kyle Hummel 20, fo 268 S. Walnut St., Slatington, and James Rosewell, 18, of 6611 Phillips Rd., Germansville, were cited.

State police at Fern Ridge said alcohol was involved in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, along SR715 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Cody J. Matlock, 19, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 1997 Ford F250 truck northbound and while negotiating a left hand curve he lost control. The truck went off the road and struck a tree with the front end. Upon impact the truck started to turn in a clockwise direction and the driver's side struck a utility pole snapping it in half.
