Members of the Summit Hill High School Class of 1958 gathered recently for their 54-year reunion at the Park View Hotel in Summit Hill. Rachel Holmberg, daughter of Joseph and Deborah Holmberg of Tamaqua, and Ted Oberg, son of Christopher and Diane Oberg of Lancaster, were united in marriage on May 19, 2012 at St. Therese's Catholic Church in Shavertown, Pa. The Rev. James Paisley officiated the double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her cousin, Sandra Davis of Hazlet, N.J. to be her matron of honor.

Josephine (Smith) Holman, a resident of Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, is celebrating her 93rd birthday today.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1919 in Yorkshire, England.

She has also resided in Clearwater, Fla.; Willow Grove, Sandy Run, Hazleton and Weatherly.

Josephine was married to William Holman for 62 years, until his passing in 2002.

She has a son, William Holman Jr. of Willow Grove, and a daughter, Nancy Shaw, who resided in Hartford, Conn. before her death in 2003.

Josephine has one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
