Steve and Jen Drake, Coaldale

You can't tell an engagement story without talking about the ring, which is where our story begins.

I was given an heirloom engagement ring. Only after I received the ring did I find out the whole story. My great-grandmother worked for Boscov's as a jewelry buyer. She was on a purchasing trip for the store and noticed a diamond on the floor of the train. So she picked it up. When my great grandfather wanted to marry my great-grandmother, he had no money for a ring. They decided to set the stone she found as her engagement ring.

Susan and Rocky Kuder

It started with a smile ... I met my future husband on a blind date. My girlfriend asked me to go along with her and her boyfriend on a blind date. They met us at my house and when I saw the guy who was going to be my date, my heart skipped a beat, well maybe many beats.

There he was; the man of my dreams smiling at me. We were introduced and from that moment on I knew I was going to marry him.

He was funny, friendly, kind and so easy to talk to.

Trevor Miller and Jackie Leslie

Jackie Leslie, Slatington and Trevor Miller, Lehighton

Last year Trevor and I started a tradition of planning a weekend getaway to our favorite city of Pittsburgh. We visit different areas and finish it off with a chilly Steelers football game!

This year, we have an entirely new reason to love Pittsburgh. After a wonderful day in the city, we decided to visit the Duquesne incline to see the infamous night view overlooking the entire city.

Earlene and Shaw Kreiger

Capt. Shaw Kreiger, USAF and Earlene (Titus) Kreiger, Weatherly

Our love story began in 2007. My now husband, Shaw Kreiger, and I started dating and fell in love. In October of that year Shaw began his USAF career at Officer Training School-Maxwell AFB, Alabama. At the same time I continued studying elementary and special education at Lock Haven University.

Spending long periods of time apart, we decided to start a new tradition. During the Christmas season we would make it a point to go away together.

Amanda Hadesty and Tony Tessitore had the most romantic proposal in our Valentine's Day Contest. This photo was taken at the Garden of the Gods at Red Rocks in Colorado.

"In order for us to move forward I think it's important that we take a step back and look at what got us here."

This was the first line of the submission from Amanda Hadesty in our Valentine's Day contest. It was also the first line of a letter her future husband, Tony Tessitore, wrote to her that launched a scavenger hunt that would take her from their present home in Pittsburgh, across Pennsylvania, and back to where it all began.

"In order for us to move forward I think it's important that we take a step back and look at what got us here."

This was a line from my first letter and the beginning of my scavenger hunt! When I woke up on July 3, 2013 I thought we were leaving to go to the beach, but Tony had other plans. He had planned an all-day scavenger hunt across the state of Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh to State College back to Panther Valley
