Fire crews work to extinguish a truck fire on the Route 903 bridge in Jim Thorpe. The fully-involved fire in the 40-foot box truck was called in just before 2 p.m. Monday.

The rig experienced a major engine failure with the truck catching on fire.

The truck was on its way to the Pine Point Plaza store in Albrightsville and was carrying frozen pork.

Jim Thorpe police are investigating the incident. The road was closed while crews cleaned up from the incident.
