Monroe purchases maintenance tracking software

Monroe County executed a contract with Dude Solutions to determine the life span of facility equipment.

Dude Solutions will install new software to perform a facilities assessment which will determine the life span of the HVAC and other maintenance systems at the county building, the correctional facility and 701 Main St.Commissioner Charles Garris explained that the software will help the county to keep track of what the county currently has and when it will need to be replaced. It will also be used to help establish a preventive maintenance schedule for the three buildings.The contract is in the amount of $51,249.24 for the assessment and installation of the software.The commissioners also approved a contract with E.F. Possinger and Sons Inc. for $215,799.45 for the 2016 County Bridge Maintenance Program.An Act 137 Affordable Housing Board allocation of $75,000 was approved. The Act 137 funds will be used as matching funds for an Accessible Housing Grant to assist with accessibility improvements to homes of those with disabilities.Change orders of $28,325 were approved for additional duct work 701 Main St. as well as a change order for $1,006.50 for electrical conduit work.A quote in the amount of $22,850 from Gouger Construction, Excavating and Septic was approved for the removal and replacement of the septic system at the Monroe County Safety Center.The financial statement for funds for improved adult probation services for the period of July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017, was approved for $1,328,689.30.The following subcontracts for 2017-18 Human Services Development Fund were approved:• Carbon Monroe Pike HH/DS Programs, $48,000;• Center for Vision Loss, $6,000;• Pocono Alliance, $5,000;• Pocono Services for Family and Children, $25,157;The following 2017-18 Fiscal Year Budgets were approved:• Grant Administration, $66,750;• State Food Purchases Program, $225,938;• Human Services Development Fund, $93,637;• Homeless Assistance Program, $50,195;• 2016 Emergency Solutions Grant, $253,934;• Victim Witness VOCA Grant, $154,424.The 2018-19 needs-based plan and budget for the Children and Youth Agency, $18,933,270 was approved.The following purchase of service agreements for the period July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017, were approved for the Children and Youth Agency:• Alternative Living Solutions, $150,000,000;• CONCERN, $70,000;• The Community Specialist Corp., DBA as The Academy, $80,000 maximum;• The Summit Academy, $80,000 maximum;• Family Care for Children and Youth Inc., $85,000 maximum.
