Ruthann and Ervin Kistler recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on June 10, 1967, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Palmerton by the Rev. James Laubach, pastor.

Mrs. Kistler is the daughter of Barbara Mullen of Honeybrook, and the late Eugene Leindecker of Slatington. Her husband is the son of the late Ervin and Ethel Kistler of Aquashicola.The Kistlers have three children: Jon Kistler, and his fiancee, Jessica Hansen, of Palmerton; Paula (Kistler) Kibler, and her husband, Mark, of Lock Haven; and Gretchen (Kistler) Laviolette, and her husband, Charles, of Palmerton.They have a granddaughter, Gina.A surprise family dinner was held at the Blue Shamrock Country Club.
