The annual Student Art and Photo Show was held at the Palmerton Area Library on Aug. 12. There were 58 entries from students between the ages of 6 to 18.

Christopher Chambliss won first place in the Photography category with Jaclyn Wonderly taking second place for her photo.The Art category was judged in two age groups - ages 6-12 and 13-18. Cassidy Solt won first prize and Casey Bortz won second prize in the younger group, while Madeline Zelienka won first prize and Aliya DeKorte won second prize for the teenage group.Owen Levan-Uhler was awarded Best of Show.The Friends of the Library sponsored the show and provided the prize money. Best of Show received $25, first-place winners received $15, and second-place winners received $10.The art show will remain in the upstairs gallery through to Aug. 26.
