Mr. and Mrs. George Richard White Jr. of Lehighton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 17, 1966, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Big Creek, Lehighton, by the Rev. Martin L. Rothenberger.

Mrs. White is the former Marie Annette Christman, daughter of the late John Christman and Marian Christman. Her husband is the son of the late George R. White Sr. and Verna E. White.They have a son, George, and his wife Jennifer, of West Chester. They have two grandsons: Owen and Alexander.
