Carbon County officials approved a number of salary and personnel moves during the weekly commissioners and monthly salary board meeting on Thursday.

Salary board• District attorney: Change the rate of one county detective from $16.99 per hour to $15.55 per hour, effective Aug. 3; establish the position of one part-time county detective at $16.99 per hour, effective Aug. 3 through Oct. 31.• Archives: Establish the position of one temporary clerk at $8 per hour, effective Aug. 3.Personnel• Retirement: Michael G. Zavagansky of Lansford, operations/maintenance director, part-time parking supervisor and special deputy sheriff, effective Sept. 9.• District attorney appointment: Charles W. Horvath of Easton, part-time county detective, effective Aug. 14.
