Glenn H. Warner, 91, right, of Lehighton receives a high school diploma Monday night from Lehighton Area School District Superintendent Jonathan Cleaver. Warner received his draft notice in 1943, during his sophomore year at Lehighton High School. Two months later, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he attended basic training at Fort Custer in Michigan. Warner served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater operations in New Guinea and returned to the United States in December 1945. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 22, 1946.
