Authorities in West Penn township are investigating two suspicious brush fires discovered burning along Route 309 atop the Blue mountain. The incident began just after 9 a.m. when passing motorists reported the fires as long the south bound berm about one hundred fifty feet apart. Fire companies from West Penn, New Ringgold and New Tripoli in Lehigh county responded.
