I am responding to an article I just read regarding Cheerios. Although the story had some humor to it using puns and poking fun at the breakfast industry, I don't find it funny that Mr. Serfass sees no harm in the false advertisement.

My daughter happens to be one of the millions of individuals with celiac's disease, and many people are ill-educated on the effects gluten has to one's intestines when they consume these types of food. I'm sure many people don't realize that it can take up to seven weeks for a celiac's intestines to heal from small amounts of gluten contained in foods.Before stories like this are published, your reporters should do some fact checking and be more informed before jabbing fun at gluten-containing foods and those with celiac's disease.Becky MooreJim Thorpe
