Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday approved a five-year, $68,889 lease/purchase agreement on behalf of the county Management Information Systems Department with Dell Financial Services.

The agreement is for three servers at a cost of $25,915, along with software and client licenses for $42,973.52.The annual payment for each year of the lease is $14,811.Pricing for the Dell servers is through the state COSTARS contract; the software and client licenses are priced through the state's Microsoft Select Plus agreement.The hardware and software will replace existing servers used for various network services, including email, which are approaching their end of usable life.In a related move, commissioners approved a $10,475 contract with American Computer Associates of Frackville for the implementation and migration services related to the lease/purchase agreement.Also on Wednesday, commissioners approved the purchase for $21,299 of two microfilm readers and associated software from DRS Imaging of Bethlehem for the prothonotary's office.The equipment will replace two obsolete readers.The purchase was made through the state COSTARS program.In other matters, commissioners approved a $80,569 reimbursement for Inservco Insurance Services according to a service agreement.County administrator Mark Scarbinsky said the reimbursement is for payouts under a 2013 agreement.
