Coaldale cell tower hearing rescheduled

A hearing for a cellphone tower in Coaldale has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. July 29, at the borough hall.

Attorney Richard Lemanowicz, representing CiG Towers LLC., requested the continuance so more work could be done on the tower design in order to meet distance requirements put in place by the borough.CiG filed an application with the borough to construct a commercial antenna support structure and to use the sight as a wireless commercial communications site. The ordinance requires a minimum set back of 150 percent of the tower's height. At current design CiG does not meet the required minimum. The proposed tower would be located at the intersection of Third, Lehigh streets and Moser Avenue.
