Schuylkill court rulings

Schuylkill County Judge James Goodman has imposed rulings on a number of local people.

Angelo Maldonado, 25, of Tamaqua, was charged by Rush Township police on May 21, 2013, with possession a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Goodman on Dec. 30 accepted Maldonado's guilty plea and sentenced him to the six days he had served to 12 months in jail. He also must pay court costs and fees.Bail reductions:Shannon Fredericks, 34, of Tamaqua, was charged on Dec. 16, 2014, by Tamaqua police with retail theft. Goodman reduced her bail from $10,000 cash to $2,500 percentage and set as conditions that she is to stay at 302 1/2 Spruce St., Tamaqua and avoid the Dollar General store in Tamaqua.Dennis Parrish, 51, of Tamaqua, was charged on Dec. 14, 2014, with criminal trespass/breaking into a structure, defiant trespass and disorderly conduct. His bail was reduced from $15,000 percentage to $500 percentage. He is to stay at 249 Clay St., Tamaqua, and not have in his possession any alcohol or controlled substance.Bench warrants dissolved:Daniel P. Peletsky, 33, Pottsville, was charged on Oct. 20, 2014, by Tamaqua police with violating a court order. His bail was set on Oct. 23, 2014, at $10,000 unsecured. Goodman set bail at $5,000 unsecured. the bail conditions include continuing to stay at 714 Mahantongo St., Pottsville and paying a bench warrant fee at the conclusion of the case.James Gilson, 20, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police on Dec. 15, 2013, with retail theft and defiant trespass. His bail was set at $5,000 unsecured on Feb. 20, 2014. Goodman set his bail at $10,000 unsecured and ordered him to pay a bench warrant fee at the close of the case.
