A vocal property tax protest has reached Eastern Pennsylvania as the mayor of Beaver Meadows has taken on the task of organizing the protest in Carbon, Monroe and Luzerne Counties. The first yard sign has appeared on the front lawn of a farmhouse just off Route 93 in Packer Township.

Gathered in the finger-numbing morning cold, a group of determined men drove bars into the frozen ground to plant metal pipes with wood-framed signs bearing the message "Stop Taxing Our Property."
