A family of four has been displaced after a fire gutted their Northampton County home Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the home at the 800 block of Hillview Drive in Walnutport. No one was injured during the incident, which took firefighters about two hours to knock down.Upon arrival, firefighters had to battle freezing temperatures and icy roadways due to the winter storm. Some equipment couldn't make it to the scene because of the icy roadways.The Red Cross assisted the family with food, clothing and other seasonal garments.Emergency personnel from Walnutport, Laurys Station, Allen Township, East Allen Township and Moore Township also assisted at the scene.
