Two bronze Civil War cannons may soon be back home in Ludlow Park, Summit Hill.

The cannons were sold in May 2000 to a private museum near Pittsburgh. After learning of the sale, Summit Hill Borough Council filed suit in Carbon County Court, claiming ownership of the artifacts.The court granted a writ of seizure to the borough, allowing for the return of the cannons until the official owner is determined.
